Hi, my name is An!
(she/her/hers)
I am a Sophomore at Tufts University/ School of the Museum of Fine Arts in the 5-year BS + BFA combined degree program, studying Engineering Psychology (Human Factors Engineering) and Studio Art. My interests lie in New Media Art, Data Visualization, human-Computer Interaction, Spatial Computing, and Product Design. I was born and raised in the beloved city Hanoi, Vietnam. Coming from an international background, I have had the privilege of meeting people from diverse walks of life, which has infused in me the love to understand people and how their behaviors can be translated into the language of design. To me, to solve problems is to understand people and make a positive impact on the community.
As a designer, here are how I usually work:
- I pay meticulous attention to details, and I prioritize the visual perfectionism in the best way possible..
- I also consider a holistic approach to the way I design: that is, every design consideration should be accompanied by a reason, and should put the user experience as the end goal. I combine my visual analysis with critical thinking skills.
- I like to be responsible for my individual work, but I also value effective collaboration among team members. I like to ask and seek for guidance when I do not understand something.
